Ataccama Named a Leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Solutions

October 5, 2021

I’d like to thank our customers, partners, and congratulate the whole Ataccama team – we have just been positioned as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Solutions! Here are a few thoughts on how we got there, the upward spiral evolution of Data Quality Management and what I believe is coming.

Michal Klaus | CEO | Ataccama Corporation

Ataccama, part of Adastra Group, has been named a Leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Solutions. You can download the report from the link.

Below is the full statement of the overwhelmed Ataccama’s CEO Michal Klaus:

“We are very thankful to the growing number of organizations around the globe, placing their trust in us and our products. I would personally also like to thank every team and department at Ataccama for their dedication to what we are building together. Lastly, I want to thank our partners for helping us deliver maximum value to our customers.

It’s an honor to be recognized by a leading analyst firm, but what I am really happy about is how far the data management market has evolved, and that Ataccama is contributing to that progress. We have started Ataccama as a data quality company, and we still believe that data quality (and quality data) is the cornerstone of any organization’s data strategy and all data-related activities. This is validated by the growing investment our clients are making into us, and into data quality in general.

Our own research shows that 78% of organizations have become more reliant on data between 2019 and 2020. At the same time, 75% of executives and knowledge workers continue to struggle with data quality on a regular basis. That is why, over the past decade, data quality has evolved from a narrow discipline focusing on monitoring, data cleansing and standardization into a holistic business concept on the agenda of C-level executives.

In line with this evolution, our powerful data processing engine enables everything from data profiling and cleansing to data quality reporting and issue remediation capabilities. We have also made data quality an important part of our master data management and reference data management offering. And last but not least, our data catalog naturally comes with advanced data quality functionality. All of this makes quality data available to both data engineers and data citizens.

These capabilities, together with metadata-driven and AI-powered automation, now form a Data Quality Fabric. Ataccama ONE Gen2 is a holistic, value-added enterprise data management platform, spanning across all cloud or on-premise environments. It allows businesses to implement new business ideas – which almost always depend on some kind of a data product – in a much faster and, at the same time, sustainable way.

Looking to the future, we are excited to bring even more intelligent automation to the platform, our customers, and the data management space as such. It’s the only way to remove existing friction from the flow of high quality data to users, teams, systems and algorithms (whether the original data source is an IoT, on-premise ERP, an in-house data warehouse, Snowflake or any of the cloud platforms).

To use an analogy – we all are used to simply connecting a device to an electrical outlet and immediately receiving a clean, consistent flow of electricity. Without knowing or worrying how it was produced, transformed, regulated and transmitted over many networks. Our mission at Ataccama is to enable the same for data – it should be just as easy for a user or a system to connect to a data API and receive a high quality data product.”
